There are no hard edges in this space but rather soffits in the shape and color of fair weather clouds meeting the distant horizon of the gentle sea. Curved glass block at the patient waiting area leads to the staff area and on to the exam and treatment rooms, all appointed with soft finishes
Conversion of the available space into a state-of-the-art wound care facility required constant communication with the neighboring departments and strict infectious control systems in place throughout the entire construction period. Candor received high praise for their attention to detail from the architect and project director as well as from the Infectious Control Department at Saint Peter's.
The completed space contains multiple exam rooms, an oxygen storage room, a waiting area, a nurse's station, the program director's office, a clean and soil utility room, a rest room and the hyperbaric treatment room. Completed on time and within budget, The Wound Care Center combines state-of-the-art healing with Feng Shui design elements. |
